COLLEGE STATION -- The search for a College Station man missing since Sunday has come to an end.
The body of 35-year-old, Manuel Mariaca, has been found after an officer patrolling the Bee Creek Park area Wednesday evening noticed something floating in the middle pond.
When the fire department and dive teams were called back to the scene, they recovered Mariaca's body from the water.
This is the same area that police extensively searched on Tuesday and where some of Mariaca's personal property was found.
A drag boat was used Tuesday but the pond's terrain made it difficult to search.
"This is a nature area, a nature preserve type of area, so as a result there is a lot of stumps and debris underneath the water so they couldn't completely search the entire pond," said Officer Rhonda Seaton.
Police will continue to search for more evidence and clues to figure out what happened.
Mariaca's body has been sent for an autopsy.
