killeen, tx — On Friday, July 12, 2012, about 3:20 p.m., the Killeen Police Department received notification that a child was found unconscious in the pool at the Killeen Family Aquatics Center at Lion’s Park.
A nearby lifeguard quickly jumped into the pool, pulled the three-year old girl out of the water and immediately began CPR. Another staff member called 911 for assistance.
The three-year old girl was breathing on her own when she was loaded into the helicopter and transported to Scott and White Children’s Hospital in Temple.
