COLLEGE STATION -- Last night Aggie fans got a chance to show everyone what the 12th Man is all about.
A few months ago, A&M won an ESPN GameDay vote contest so a crew of around 100 was on campus Tuesday to shoot a promotional commercial for the upcoming football season.
It may not be football season yet but Kyle Field is already full with more than five thousand fans showing up for ESPN's College GameDay commercial shoot.
"This commercial is going to be on TV throughout the whole semester," said senior Brad Eyre. "I mean, as a fan, you gotta love that and you want to be right up in the front just representing A&M and that's what we're here for."
Eyre is just one of many who waited in the triple digit heat for more than six hours Tuesday to make an appearance in the commercial.
"There's nothing like this atmosphere," Eyre said.
And after seeing more than five thousand fans turn out for the shoot Chris Fowler, one of the GameDay hosts, had to agree.
"I should have known that places like A&M exist. I walked around the corner after hearing the roar of the crowd and it's just really surreal because football season is still a long ways away, at least to me, yet they've done a great job filling up the section for the promo."
Filming lasted into the early hours of the morning and while it's only a 30-second commercial, it will be ESPN's prime College GameDay promo.
The commercial will begin airing in September and will run throughout the entire football season.
