TEMPLE -- Temple Police are on the hunt after an armed man forced his way inside a bank as a clerk was opening and robbed it at gunpoint.
It happened this morning around 7:30 when a clerk at First State Bank on Canyon Creek drive was approached by a black male with a hand gun.
He forced her to give her cash from the bank took her car keys and fled in her car.
"About 20 minutes later at about 7:50 AM we relocated the vehicle abandoned in a nearby neighborhood to the south of the bank about a half a mile away," Sgt. Brad Hunt with the Temple Police Department said.
Even working with a K-9 unit, police were not able to locate him.
However they are working with the FBI to gather evidence from the stolen car.
