BRYAN -- Trial is underway in Brazos County for the last of five co-defendants charged in the 2010 Mother's Day killing.
22-year-old Jose Castillo is charged with engaging in criminal activity in connection with the shooting death of Chris Hutchinson in Bryan.
Castillo and four others allegedly attacked Hutchinson because he was with a friend who was a part of a rival gang.
Castillo has pleaded not guilty.
If a jury convicts him he could face life in prison.
