Red Cross Supports Local Firefighters During Warehouse Blaze

WACO, TX, November 5, 2012 — The American Red Cross is providing ice, water, snacks and support for approximately 20 firefighters battling a warehouse fire on New Dallas Highway in Bellmead.

“The Red Cross is proud to support our local fire departments,” said Mark Felton, American Red Cross Heart of Texas Chapter Executive Director, “they are essential partners in serving the people of Central Texas before, during and after disaster.”

Red Cross disaster services are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Across Central Texas, the Red Cross responds to disasters like house fires on average every 18 hours.
