Bossier City, LA — A wanted man who allegedly killed a woman at a local apartment complex Wednesday morning has turned himself into authorities.
Shortly before noon, a man entered the Lexington Place Apartments located on the 700 block of Northgate Road and shot a female employee, according to Bossier City Police Officer Mark Natale.
When authorities arrived on scene, they found the unidentified woman with multiple gunshot wounds. She was taken to LSU Medical Center where she was pronounced dead.
Natale says he fled the scene in an older, blue extended cab F150, driving northbound on Northgate Road. He would later turn himself in at the Shreveport Police Training Academy around 1:30 p.m., according to Shreveport Police Officer Bill Goodin.
Two other employees were present in the front office at the time of the gunfire, but were not hurt by the shooter.
The Lexington Place Apartments is located at the intersection of Williamsburg Drive and Northgate Road, two blocks away from Barksdale Air Force Base. Natale tells KWKT the suspected shooter is not a member of the Air Force.
