Waco man pleads guilty to stabbing roommate

WACO, TX — A Waco man was sentenced to 35 years in prison earlier today after pleading guilty to the murder of his roommate in graphic fashion.
35 year-old Roderick Tremaine Briscoe pleaded guilty today to the July 2011 stabbing death of 49-year old roomate, Mark Norwood.
Authorities found Norwood’s dead body with at least 20 stab wounds.
Police found Briscoe at the scene with cuts on his hands, and originally told them that he found Norwood already dead.
Briscoe will be eligble for parole in 2027.
