Reusable rocket

This week SpaceX released footage of its’ most recent rocket test.

SpaceX successfully tested their Grasshopper rocket at its' McGregor facility back in November.

That lift was 30 feet high and lasted eight seconds.

In the most recent test, SpaceX lifted the rocket roughly 150 feet in the air.

The Grasshopper rocket is their first impression in trying to create reusable rockets.

The California-based company said the reusable rocket program is a ‘critical step’ in space exploration’s future.

SpaceX wants to allow rockets to land back to Earth intact, rather than burning up in the atmosphere as they currently do in re-entry.
