WACO -- We have an update on the hit and run that left a local sheriff's deputy hospitalized.

On Wednesday McLennan County Sheriffs Deputy Tyrone Caldwell moved from a local hospital to a rehab center in Austin.

Last month Caldwell was walking in Cameron Park when a truck knocked him to the ground and sped off.

The driver, 54-year-old Raymond Ross Mormino II, was arrested three days later charged with aggravated assault and failure to stop and render aid.
