Temple, TX — A house fire Tuesday night displaces a family of 13 in Temple.
The fire started around 8 p.m., and the first fire crews were dispatched to the home, located in the 1900 block of North 7th Street, at 8:08 p.m. The first unit on scene reported visible heavy smoke coming from the two-story brick veneer house.

The American Red Cross assisted the family, which consists of two adults and 11 children, ages six to 16.
A total of six engines, one ladder truck, an incident commander, and two support units responded to the call.
Investigators are still working to determine the cause and origin of the fire.
