BRYAN, Tx (KYLE) — The two firefighters critically injured in the Friday night blaze have been upgraded to serious condition.

Rickey Mantey and Mitch Moran are in the Blocker Burn unit at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston where they're being treated.

Their doctors report the two are in serious but guarded condition and are doing as well as can be expected.

Protocols are being used because of the threat of post-burn infection.

The two have a long road of recovery ahead and could be in the hospital for as long as a month before being released.
