belton, tx — A Waco man stands trial this week for his alleged role in the shooting death of another man during February 2012.
Chance Deallen Keller, 25, of Waco was already in the McLennan County Jail during March 2012 on an aggravated robbery charge when he was served a warrant by Belton police for killing Stephan Wright on February 26. Wright was found dead on his front porch with a gunshot wound to his torso.
Keller was arraigned on April 20, 2012 for the February 25 robbery, in which he reportedly fired a shot at the victim, but it did not hit her.
Until his trial, Keller has remained in jail on a one million dollar bond.
