A Waco teen mom was indicted Thursday afternoon, for attempting to smother her infant son while he was being treated at a Fort Worth Hospital for another incident reportedly caused by the mother.

Child Protective Services says 17 year old, Shantaniqua Scott, was caught on camera at Cook's Children Medical Center, pushing bedding over the infants mouth and nose.

A code alarm from the room went off, and staff members found the baby unresponsive. They were able to revive the infant and get him to a stable condition.

CPS placed the infant in foster care, after looking for a suitable family member.

Scott was indicted Thursday in McLennan County courts, for two counts of Aggravated Assault, and two counts of Injury to a Child.
