Boil notice still in effect

Marlin, TX — The city of Marlin is still urging residents to conserve as much water as possible as they continue to fight a mechanical problem at its water treatment plant.

The problem started last week when a delivery man accidentally poured liquids into an air line.

That mistake has caused a lingering headache for the rural town of Marlin.

In a press release to local media, city officials continued the boil notice indefinitely. They also issued a stern warning for those who are wasting water.
