A Few T-Storms Possible, Otherwise, Partly Cloudy Today

A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH IS IN EFFECT FOR MOST OF THE AREA UNTIL 3PM.

Winds are turning out of the west, and dryer air is now moving in to Central Texas. Storms in far eastern counties will quickly move out of the area and any cloud cover will most likely clear out late afternoon. The thunderstorm watch remains in effect until 3pm, but the threat for severe weather is quickly diminishing. Winds will stay breezy today and tomorrow.

Temperatures will be warm today and will stay mild through the end of the week.

FORECAST DETAILS:.

TODAY: A mixture of clouds and sunshine, windy and warm. A few brief heavy thunderstorms are possible in the eastern portions of Central Texas from mid morning until early afternoon. Rain chances: 20% West and 60% extreme East. High temperature near 75. Winds SSW 10-20 mph in the moring then becoming WSW at 15-30 mph with a few higher gusts during the afternoon.

TONIGHT: Clear to partly cloudy and cooler. Low 42.

THURSDAY: Partly cloudy, windy and mild...Slight chance (20%-30%) for a few scattered showers. High 69. Winds NW 15 mph.

FRIDAY: Mostly sunny, windy and cooler. Low 44, High 65. Winds NW 20 mph.

SATURDAY: Sunny and cool....Low 39, High 65. Winds NW 10 mph.

SUNDAY: A mixture of clouds and sunshine...Chance (20%) of a brief afternoon shower. Low 42, High 72. WInds South, beocming N 10 mph.

MONDAY: Mostly cloudy with a chance (30%) of a few morning showers....Low 48, High 65. WInds NNW 15 mph.

TUESDAY: Mostly sunny, windy and cool. Low 42, High 62. Winds NNW 15 mph.
