The Killeen Police Department is investigating a robbery that occurred Friday afternoon, where one suspect was taken into custody while the other remains at large.

According to the police report, officers responded to a call at 4:17 p.m. in the 900 block of West Central Texas Expressway to assist with a female who had just been robbed. While officers were enroute, a witness called and advised they were behind a black Dodge Charger, with the suspects inside, in the area of Stan Schlueter and Highway 195.  Officers located the Dodge Charger at the intersection of Central Texas Expressway and Stan Schlueter and saw it was occupied by a female driver and a male passenger.

An officer attempted to stop the vehicle, but the driver failed to comply. A pursuit then ensued.  The pursuit continued west on Central Texas Expressway at a high rate of speed and continued north on W.S. Young.  The driver then turned west on to Grandon Drive, where the Charger collided with two vehicles.  The driver then lost control of the vehicle at Grandon Drive and Delwin Circle, shearing off the metal street lamp causing the vehicle to spin out of control.  The vehicle then hit a tree and a brick mailbox finally coming to rest at Estelle Avenue and Grandon Drive.

After the collision, the black male passenger, wearing a white shirt and blue jeans, jumped out of the vehicle and fled on foot through the neighborhood.  The driver, 31-year-old Angela Jeanine White, was taken into custody and transported to the Killeen City Jail.

During the investigation, the property taken during the robbery was located and returned to the victim. There were no injuries reported during the pursuit or in any of the crashes.

White is charged with Evading Arrest in a Motor Vehicle. She also has outstanding warrants from Copperas Cove Police Department for Evading Arrest in a Motor Vehicle, Criminal Trespass, and Theft over $500 under $1,500. White's evading charge in Killeen has a bond amount of $50,000. White's Copperas Cove evading charge has a $20,000 bond. The Criminal Trespass and Theft charges are set at $2,000 each. White is being held at the Bell County Jail with a total of $74,000 in bonds.
